Lan Hoang    CEO

Lan is the CEO and co-founder of Aeria Games, and brings over 10 years of experience in management and business development. As a serial entrepreneur, Lan has invested in and co-founded several companies in various industries ranging from technology outsourcing, trading to internet and mobile related businesses. Lan has extensive experience in the gaming sector, as a director of ActozSoft, a listed game developer in Korea, and as an early investor and collaborator of Aeria Inc., a listed company in Japan, which founded Gamepot, a major Japanese publisher, and other game and internet-related companies. He currently serves as a director for Corporate Finance Partners Asia and Japan Lan also has 7 years of experience as a corporate attorney specializing in restructuring, finance and cross-border investments

Lan received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Stanford Law School and a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Houston.

JT Nguyen    COO

JT is the COO of Aeria Games, overseeing the worldwide publishing operations of the company. JT has over 10 years of experience working in both Fortune 500 companies as well as in Silicon Valley startups in the mobile, eCommerce, B2B, aerospace, financial, and gaming industries. Prior to joining Aeria Games, JT held an operations strategy position at HSBC where he consulted with the global business teams within the credit card division. At the start of his career, JT held hardware and software engineering positions at Motorola and Bluedog, a startup company in Silicon Valley.

JT holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Terry Ngo    CTO

Terry is the CTO and co-founder of Aeria Games and is responsible for all technology strategy and development in the company. Terry has over 12 years of experience in scalable Internet applications in consumer, enterprise and mobile software in both startup and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Aeria Games, he held a senior engineering position at Good Technology where he co-authored a patent in maintaining current data for wireless devices. Terry held engineering management roles at Open Harbor, leading teams in providing technical solutions and development of software-as-a-service (SAAS) for several multi-national companies.

Terry holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a dual bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Mathematics from Southern Methodist University.

Vu Hoang    CFO

Vu is the CFO and co-founder of Aeria Games, and brings many years of experience in entrepreneurialism and leadership to the company. As a serial entrepreneur, Vu has helped establish several companies in various industries. He was the CFO of SGO Inc., an import/export company specializing in construction equipment trading. Vu also recently served on the board of advisors for RubyCoins, a company that specializes in secure in-game payment solutions for micro-transaction based games and was later sold to PayPal.

Vu holds bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Houston.

Pascal Zuta    CEO Europe

Pascal is the CEO of Aeria Games Europe GmbH and oversees the European publishing division. Prior to joining Aeria Games in summer 2009, Pascal was in charge of Corporate Development for Bertelsmann, Inc in San Francisco. He has several years of experience as an entrepreneur and leader in the film and new media industry. In 2006 he founded, a venture capital funded online social network. Simultaneously he was a producer and co-founder of Sanktuarium Filmproduction.

Pascal received his MBA at the European Business School Oestrich-Winkel and University of Berkeley in California. He also holds a Doctor's degree in media science from the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Konrad Wolff.

Stefan Behrens    COO Europe

Stefan is the COO of Aeria Games Europe GmbH and oversees the company’s European publishing operations, product management and customer service. Stefan has over 10 years of experience in the media and technology industry. Prior to joining Aeria Games, Stefan was a senior project manager at Booz & Company, where he successfully led many strategic assignments for Internet and telecommunications companies. Among other projects, he set up a new 1,000 employee division to develop mobile data services, reorganized customer facing operations for a Kazakh mobile carrier, and led a turn-around program for Egypt’s largest telco operator.

Stefan received his MBA at the European Business School Oestrich-Winkel and F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. He also holds a Doctor’s degree in information systems from European Business School Oestrich-Winkel.

Gerson Souza    COO Latin America

Gerson Souza is the COO of Aeria Games do Brasil, overseeing the Latin America publishing business. Gerson has been in the video game industry since 1994 and previously managed the operations of Sony's PlayStation Division in Brazil and Vivendi Games business in Latin America. He successfully released AAA titles such as God of War III, Counter-Strike, and Warcraft III.

Gerson graduated in Electronic Engineering and has an Executive MBA in E-Commerce and Post-graduation in Sales from ESPM.

Jim Hughes    Publishing Director, Latin America

Jim oversees game operations for Aeria’s Latin American markets. Prior to joining the company Jim taught High School Mathematics and Co-hosted an after school Math television show before transitioning to the Finance industry as an Investment Analyst at Smith Barney.

Having joined Aeria in 2010, he has worked in a variety of roles, including Sales Strategist, Marketing Manager and ultimately his current role in São Paulo. Jim holds a Mathematics/Economics degree from U.C. Santa Barbara and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at U.C. Los Angeles.

Tom Nichols    Publishing Director, US

Tom is a seasoned marketing/business executive with over 19 years of experience working for industry leading brands including Electronic Arts, Sega, Hasbro, Atari, Apple and LucasArts. He has 9+ years of experience in the MMO space. At Turbine, Tom was the VP Marketing and launched D&D Online and worked on the Lord of the Rings Online. At LucasArts, Tom was responsible for the company's online games business including Star Wars Galaxies, The Clone Wars Adventures, and Star Wars The Old Republic. Tom has an MBA from UC-Berkeley and an engineering degree from MIT. He lives in Mill Valley with his wife and 3 kids. For fun, he enjoys cheering for the Giants and the Raiders, playing Legos with his boys, and playing soccer with his daughter.

Dan Yuen    General Counsel and Vice President of Corporate Development

As Vice President, Corporate Development, Dan oversees Aeria Games' corporate development (financings, investments and mergers and acquisitions) and business development (licensing, distribution and other strategic partnerships) activities. He also serves as General Counsel and manages all of the company's legal matters. Dan has over 15 years of experience working with a wide range of companies in many different fields, from start-ups "in garages" to Fortune 500 enterprises, and from e-commerce/software to airline to renewable energy. He began his career at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Silicon Valley's premier law firm, representing technology businesses, venture capital firms and investment banks.

Dan received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Stanford Law School and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Stanford University.

Lita Unruh    HR Director

Lita Unruh has been working in Human Resources for over 25 years, with 15 years in startups throughout the Silicon Valley. She has successfully built and led HR functions, primarily focused on technology-forward companies who want to make things happen. Her specialty is knowing "just the right" amount of HR infrastructure for start-up environment and working with leaders to build a highly engaged company culture.

Lita graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with degrees in Communication Studies and Sociology, where she was named Student of the Year.
